Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026

This policy explains what Chipin Me, Inc., a Delaware corporation, collects when you use chipin.me, and what we do with it. We kept it short and plain. Questions and requests go to support@chipin.me.

1. Who we are

Chipin Me, Inc. runs chipin.me, a fundraising platform where supporters claim squares on printed gear and the gift goes to an organization. In this policy, chipin.me and we mean Chipin Me, Inc. We are the company responsible for the personal data described here, and you can reach us at support@chipin.me.

2. What we collect

We collect what the service needs to work, and no more:

  • Your account email and name, if you create an account.
  • The content of fundraiser pages, such as the organization named, the gear, the price per square and the page text.
  • Supporters' names, emails, messages, photos and logos placed on squares.
  • Gift amounts and receipt numbers for gifts made on chipin.me.
  • Merch order details, including the items ordered and the shipping address.
  • Email delivery data, such as whether a receipt or confirmation reached you.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe and never reach chipin.me.

3. What is public

A fundraiser page is public. The name, words, photo or logo a supporter places on a square appear on the page for anyone to see, and they print on the gear. Supporters can choose to appear as Anonymous instead. Emails and shipping addresses are never shown on the page.

4. How we use your data

We use your data to run the page, show the squares, print the gear and ship orders. We use it to send receipts, confirmations and account emails. Email delivery data tells us whether a receipt or confirmation arrived, so we can help when one does not. We use it to answer your questions and to keep the platform safe from fraud and abuse. We use it to meet our legal duties. We do not use it for anything unrelated to chipin.me.

5. Who we share it with

We share data with the providers that run chipin.me, and only for the work each one does:

  • Stripe, which processes payments.
  • Supabase, which hosts our database and file storage.
  • Vercel, which hosts the site.
  • Resend, which sends our email.
  • Printify, which prints and ships gear, and receives shipping addresses for that purpose.

Organizations receive their supporters' names, emails, gift amounts and receipt data for their own records. The organization issues the receipt, so it needs these details. We may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users. We do not sell personal data.

6. Payments

When you pay on chipin.me, Stripe takes your card details and processes the charge on the organization's own Stripe account. chipin.me sees the amount, the receipt number and your name and email, but never your card number. Stripe's own privacy policy covers how it handles your payment information. On pages with an outside donation link, you give on the organization's own site, and that site's privacy policy covers what you enter there. chipin.me does not receive what you enter there.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and page data while the account or page is active. We keep gift and receipt records as long as the organization and the law need them. We keep merch order details long enough to deliver the order and to handle any misprint or damage report. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it unless the organization or the law needs a record kept.

8. Your choices

Supporters can choose to appear as Anonymous when they claim a square. A supporter can ask to hide or remove a square at any time. Page owners can hide or remove any square on their own page. Anyone can ask for a copy of their data, or for its deletion, by writing to support@chipin.me. We answer every request. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we do not hand your data to the wrong person.

9. California residents

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you rights over your personal information. You can ask what we collect, use and share about you, and receive a copy of it. You can ask us to correct it or to delete it. You can tell us not to sell or share it, and we do not sell personal data. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. To use them, write to support@chipin.me. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you.

10. Children

You must be at least 18 to create an account or a fundraiser. Supporters under 18 may give only with a parent's or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has given us personal information without that consent, write to support@chipin.me and we will remove it.

11. Security

Card payments run through Stripe, so card numbers never touch our systems. Our other data lives with Supabase and Vercel, behind their access controls, and we limit access to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

12. Cookies and analytics

When you log in, chipin.me sets a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in; it holds a session token and nothing about you. We use Google Analytics to count visits and a few steps on the site, such as a square being picked or a checkout starting, under an anonymous id that Google sets in its own cookie. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not run advertising cookies or trackers. You can block cookies in your browser; the pages still work, and you will be asked to sign in again.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as chipin.me changes. When we do, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters to how we use your data, we will say so plainly at the top of this page.
